Refund Policy

This policy outlines the refund and cancellation terms for goods and services supplied by Homes and Domes Victoria Pty Ltd ("Homes & Domes", "we", "us").

Different terms apply depending on the stage of your order. Please read the sections below carefully. If you have any questions before placing an order, contact our team.

Submitting an enquiry, requesting a quote, or using the delivery estimator does not constitute an order and does not require payment. You are under no obligation.

Information provided in an enquiry may be retained for follow-up purposes as described in our Privacy Policy.

If you make a preliminary payment for a site assessment, feasibility study, or custom quotation, this payment is refundable if:

• The site assessment has not yet been conducted
• The request is made within 5 business days of payment

If the site assessment or feasibility work has already commenced, the cost of that work will be deducted from any refund.

Site feasibility work includes site visits, access assessments, and delivery route analysis. Once this work has been completed, the fee is non-refundable as it represents professional services already performed.

You will receive a written feasibility report for the fee paid.

If you engage us for custom design, engineering, or consultant work, fees for this work are non-refundable once the work has commenced.

If the work has not yet started, a full refund is available. If the work is partially complete, a proportional refund may be provided at our discretion.

Standard stock products (if available) may be eligible for a refund or exchange if returned in original, unused condition within 14 days of delivery, subject to a restocking fee of 20% of the purchase price.

Return freight costs are the customer's responsibility.

Expandable cottages and optional extras are built to order. Once production has commenced on customised goods, they cannot be returned for a refund except where required under the Australian Consumer Law.

Cancellation of customised goods before production starts may be eligible for a refund of payments made, less any non-refundable deposit and any work already completed.

Once your cottage enters factory production, significant costs are incurred for materials and labour. Cancellation at this stage will result in forfeiture of all deposits and progress payments made up to that point.

If the cottage is completed despite cancellation, we may attempt to on-sell the unit. Any net proceeds (after deductions for costs, storage and remarketing) will be credited to you.

Shipping and transport costs that have been incurred (including bookings, permits and escort vehicles) are non-refundable once the transport has been arranged, even if the cottage has not yet been dispatched.

Site works including foundations, utility connections, crane hire and access preparation are arranged on your behalf with third parties. These costs are non-refundable once the work has been commissioned.

If delivery or installation is delayed due to factors within your control (including site not ready, access not cleared, or utility connections incomplete), storage fees may apply. These fees are charged weekly and will be communicated before they are applied.

If delay extends beyond 60 days, we may treat the order as abandoned and dispose of the goods in accordance with the terms of your purchase agreement.

• Before deposit: No commitment — no cancellation required.
• After deposit, before production: Deposit is non-refundable, but no further liability.
• During production: All progress payments forfeited. See Factory Production Stage above.
• After completion, before delivery: No refund. Storage fees may apply.
• After delivery: Goods are accepted. Warranty and after-sales support apply.

Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures, you are entitled to a replacement or refund and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.

You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy conferred by the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable law.
